Core Streets

Example 1: Market Street

See Broad Street, Oxford or High Street, Marlborough

Core Streets do not necessarily have the consistent grouping of storefronts found on Main Streets, but they are a mainstay of city neighborhoods. Core streets connect with the larger street network. The buildings lining Core Streets can contain workplaces, stores, apartments, and houses.

Market Streets have a large central paved area for trucks, tents, and carts on market days.

Work Streets vary because office work, creative arts, and light industry all take place in myriad building types, sizes and settings.
